How I spent my New Year

So before New Year came, it's christmas! Invited my sisters (laoda and boss) over for a short 2 days 1 night stay over, its a first for me where I invited friends over to my home for a stay over and I was pretty excited about it! So, we spent the day swimming, playing xbox kinect and laughing at each other's dance skills and played racing till the wee hours! Woke up early because we wanted to sing ktv at my clubhouse but realised they didn't have a machine so we ended up watching movies and cooked our own lunch!

So for New Year, I invited my cousin over to stay over too! She had to work so she came pretty late and only joined us for dinner, no more swimming :( And yes, we talked a lot about the cultural camp that I didn't go xD and counted down!

5, 4, 3, 2, 1!!!

We woke up super early the next day to catch the sunrise and wish for a great year but :( the sun was in hiding

then we went for a run at lower Seletar to start a new year by being healthy!

So, my new year resolution:

  1. Become fitter (6 packs and Biceps)
  2. Be more hardworking, no more lazing around
  3. Try new things (challenge myself)
So, as godbro's wedding is nearing, we decided to go for a diet plan and had meal replacements! It is also considered a protein shake and wow yes, after 1 week of cardio and workout with the diet control, I have lost 2kg and gained upper 2 abs and a little of bicep muscles. Pretty good results I guess?

Working towards my 31st Jan race day, 10km run and I must say my goal is to never stop running!
Oh! I recently signed up for an aquathlon with Florance too!! Super excited! Shall post more about that soon!

Exciting events of 2015

Wow many interesting things happened during 2015 which I didn't post here because I was pretty lazy + busy xD
Okay so from my last post, I signed up for LCP kayaking, not just once, but twice! Once during the September holidays and once during the December holidays!
Kayaking team building and trust

It's my first time kayaking and its really fun! Just that carrying of the kayaks is really tiring and because of my old shoulder injuries, my shoulders was hurting so much I felt like my arms were falling apart from my body. But anyway, it was interesting and a great sport indeed!

After Kayaking, Florance and I decided to register for the Asian Jazz Orchestra world tour! I didn't know flor actually likes jazz too since jazz is a not a genre everyone likes. It was pretty awesome that we witnessed the beauty of jazz and wow its simply amazing! The concert was held in Victoria Concert Hall and after renovation, it was truly grand and when you step in, it holds a different vibe! Really thankful for this opportunity, giving me and flor such a wonderful experience. :D

Next, mom and I went to Kuching temple's opening. There were only 12 of us who went there and it was a short trip. We were supposed to go there to help out for the temple's opening and also to see the surroundings of Kuching. Honestly, I didn't know there was a place called Kuching before and it was a very fulfilling trip to me as we travelled there with Master Bai and learned a lot in the process. Although most people who went on the trip were aunties but wow, its really interesting and fun to get to know them better and learn more about the dos and don'ts in life.
All aboard to Kuching!

After Kuching's trip, it was PCO camp! Day 1 was quite dry as it was dry games DUH, and I couldn't stay for day 2 as I signed up for COMMANDO CHALLENGE!!! It's super exciting omg but I really regret I didn't train enough if not the whole experience would be a whole lot more fulfilling. But thank god for my god-brother who helped me in the various obstacles such as low walls if not I would be stucked there forever.  The ice tub was the most excruciating and exciting part where your body will be submerged in a tub of ice and you have to cross it to the other end. At the middle of the tub, my legs were totally numb and I could feel pain from the numbness and when we got out, wow my legs felt like they are dead! But yes its fun and I would like to do it again! The last obstacle is the electric wires and I thought there were just random wires hanging there without currents. Little did I know there were currents and I ran behind huixin so the wires came shooting at my face and yes I ended the race sprawled on the sand and received my completion medal while trying to stand up. Great experience but I won't join again because it's freaking expensive!
Pardon my shag face
Yes thats right, Im the one on the left
After commando challenge, it's the children's day event at my local community project service centre. I was given a role as station master to man a game and yeap it's fun and I think I was the kindest station master ever xD Its always a pleasure give, seeing the happy faces and knowing that the kids enjoy the games made me feel that I used my holidays well. It's also a first for me to tutor people! Thank you HSS and Youth Guidance Outreach Services for the opportunity to serve :)
After LCP, school started and I started to learn driving after passing my BTT, booked lessons with a private instructor as school's one are too expensive!

Went out with the judokias and had a unplanned photo shoot session, always a great day spent with these sisters!

Next up, it's Mom's birthday!!!

lazy long holidays

Woo~ Its the close to 2 months holiday! Planned to start my driving lessons; pass my basic theory test and start the practical circuits but oh well, so lazy to study for theory test.

Been making a point to swim everyday to build up my lung capacity, stamina and strength! So excited for all those upcoming races; Commando Challenge and New Balance Run On!

Signed up for local community project with my school and we are going to kayak tmr! Been looking forward to kayaking since last week omg hahaha! Received an email that said that they would have to cancel tmr's kayaking if the PSI reading is over 100 :( Pray that PSI tmr would be  below 100 pls :((((

On a side note, there's 11 mozzie bites on me right now! It all happened during P.CO potluck event, I thought that I was having a rash in the middle of the KTV session because I was practically scratching like mad! Thank goodness it was just mozzie bites! but wow, these mozzies, their bites can't stop itching!

Yay, so excited for tmr, may tmr be a good day :D

Jellyfish bloop bloop

Nothing much happened ytd so Im gonna consolidate it into this post

Yippee! No tutorials so I decided to skip lecture and self-study! Happy that I was able to sleep in till 10am :D Did my notes for the last chapter for Developmental and time for lunch! And yay, mom cooked lor mee my favourite!! <3 Afternoon was erm, very very unproductive, grandma came over and she was talking so loudly and interrupting me every 10mins so didn't really studied for RMB class test. Mom decided to try home workouts and I introduced her Mike Chang Six Pack Shortcut and woo~ she liked it! After doing some reps with her, went to swim with dad and managed 1km (Y) with the flips and float at the legs! Spent the night studying for RMB and was freaking out becos I realised I didn't put some points in my cheat sheet! But oh well, no choice, had to memorise instead. Practiced each kind of test before sleeping!

It's "finally" the day for RMB theory test! Woke up feeling damn restless and slept on the bus, oh my, how I wish I could just sleep on the bus forever and ever~ Reached school pretty early these few days, I think it's probably because the semester is ending soon. The test was doable I guess? I took only around 1 hour to finish the paper and yay! Got myself an egg mcmuffin meal! WOO~ Social lecture was so long and boring, Emil being himself, taking his own time to think of what to say... Oh and Emil finally returned our term test paper after half a sem was gone xD Didn't want to see my results becos I know how that I would fail for this paper and Bingo! I failed :( Stayed back for an extra hour after class for Social presentation, FINALLY! IT'S OVER!!! Hooray! Adam also finally sent us our results for aprpa! Wah, I must say group work really pulled my results (Y) Had a mini heart attack in the morning when I realised Reflection journal 3 was long due on Monday Oh my gosh and I thought it was actually due 2 weeks ago. I guess I wasn't sober when I read that email Gabby sent xD Sigh..

Went for a swim during the evening with dad, swam 1.2km today, slowly increasing the number of laps :) Oh and this is pretty interesting; so there's this guy that tried to be a "jellyfish" once he stepped in the pool. My dad went to swim earlier than me so when my dad swam, this guy was already floating around the pool. When we swam, it was so annoying that we had to reroute/pause/ swim past him. After I finish my laps, mom decided to come down and dip in the water. The guy hasn't stop!!! We were in the pool chatting for around an hour? After we left, he was still floating around oh my xD Swimming is really a nice place to escape from stress (Y) Diving deep in the water, everything seemed to stop and everything is so silent :D

Time to finish my eulogy!!! :( I can't seem to write it :( I shudder every sentence I type omg. Wish me luck in completing it!

Smooth like tofu

"ring ring ring" first alarm: 6am
"ring ring ring" 2nd alarm: 6:15am
"ring ring ring" 3rd alard: 6:20am
Climbed back to sleep and my dad came in to wake me up! Not a good idea to sleep at 2am!!!
Rushed to wash up, make my cereal and wow rush hour game strong. Managed to catch the 7:30 bus and reached school at 8:35am!! Such rare times I would be early for 9am classes!!! Slept all the way for my long bus ride and it was so lucky that my next bus came after I alighted and I managed to squeeze up! (Y)

RMB practical test went pretty well I guess? Managed to complete it, I was literally rushing with time man, had to click italicise, close italicise, check mean, open bracket, close bracket wah damn dizzy checking and typing the results man! I was literally freaking out when I couldn't off my caps lock when I accidentally pressed it! Was already rushing with time and the keyboard was playing with me T_T Wanted to raise my hand and tell my lecturer about that but felt that it will be pretty embarrassing saying that I couldn't off my caps. Managed to "control z" and brought back my lower caps omg. All in all, exciting test I guess!

Social presentation was urgh, I thought it will be finally over but one of my group member didn't came to school and we had to postpone presentation :( But! Tutorial ended in 30mins! Wow hahahaha! Stayed back in school to watch make up tutorials and Tara laughing at how people draw their brows xD So ridiculous!

Mom wanted to fetch me from the interchange but she was 30mins late, ugh forever late man! So annoying! And she still can blame me for being slow when she only called a few minutes ago to change pick up location. :< Cold war with her during the afternoon, I was pretty angst for that I don't know why, maybe because I could have reached home by the time she came to pick me up! Maybe it's PMS that's why I'm having such a high level of aggression!

Ahh, such days when I can release all my aggression on Judo, flipping people around and getting flipped by people... How I wish I have a punching bag to release all my stress and anger! But oh well, cleared the air by evening! Went to listen to Kodaline songs, and I must say they are pretty good? I still like Jazz though, it really calms me down a lot!

Here's a cute video of Kai Kai eating!

20th Wedding Anniversary

WOO~ It's the last day of the 4 days public holiday :( but oh well, all good things must come to an end. It's my parents 20th wedding anniversary! Woke up quite late and decided to stay in at home to do some revisions and complete my RMB cheatsheet (which I only started at night oh my gosh, procrastination game strong). My parents then went on to have a date at the theatre (Mission Impossible, which I already watched). Quite productive I guess? Managed to finish my notes before my parents came back. The movie came back quite early and we went out for an early dinner at SuFood. 8 course dinner! Yay! They changed their menu and it's nice! They also had a Sg50 offer, 50% for one of our 8 course dinner (Y). There was also a "Dine for a Good Cause" event tied up with SuFood, where $1 will be donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation for every 8 course dinner ordered!

Nope, I'm not the lightbulb, I'm their photographer

Dinner was filling and the service there is great! I love good customer service :D Poor customer service really gets on my nerves because I feel that since they are working in the service line, they should do a proper job and make other's day and not upset others. Anyway, went for a walk around Raffles city and wow, there's sure a lot of ang moh tourist there xD

Lucky for dad to drive past Padang and we managed to take a look at the stage for the parade yesterday during National Day. It was spectacular and so awestruck!!! So grand and wow, I feel so proud to be a Singaporean man, all these achievement we had after 50 years :')

This is so pretty I just wish it will remain this way forever

Here's the old parliament house at the background, so grand with that lighting (Y)

Happy 20th anniversary!

After snapping some photos, we went to granny's house to accompany her and talk to her. Spent some time doing up my cheat sheet for RMB, but yeah Tanglin was on air at that time and yay, I was watching it 80% of the time and didn't do much for RMB T_T

Rushed home to do my RMB cheatsheet and wah slept at 2am :( Lesson learnt: don't procrastinate!!

National Day

Finally a long awaited family outing! Yay, happy that my mom bought river safari tickets online and they got a national day 50% discount but only applicable if you buy the tickets to zoo + river safari :( However, we wanted to rush home to watch the national day parade so we only got the tickets to river safari! Nonetheless, it was the panda that we wanted to see :D We decided to wear red since it was national day, my dad didn't have red shirt tho but yes! He wore white instead. It was quite touching to see everyone wearing red on national day, so much patriotism!

Went to look at the panda and they were adorable! Waited quite a while till it was their feeding time and yes! They look damn adorable when they were eating oh my gosh. I guess I was standing there for close to 20 mins just looking at him eat :') So cute I just hope I can bring him home.

Kai Kai having his lunch

Jia Jia taking a nap after eating

Took a boat ride; adventure quest, and it was "thrilling"! There were steep drops, meant to scare kids I guess, and my parents were acting so funny because they didn't want to get wet so they squeezed the poor me sitting in the middle. Here's a shot of the jaguar I took when we were on the adventure quest.

The Jaguar looked quite intimidating!!!

I think one of the highlights of river safari is their glow in the dark shop! It's so fascinating! Our clothes, nails, teeth would glow! Oh and yeap, persuaded my mom to buy that panda because it's damn cute and soft to touch!!

Notice my dad trying hard to show his teeth

On the way back :)
One of the photos I really like <3

My parents decided to go marketing after having a late lunch and wah, the supermarket was super crowded, promotions everywhere since it's national day. Rushed home to watch the parade, and we missed the first 30mins :( But luckily, the marching in hasn't started (Y) The parade was awesome, how I wish we got the ballot and had the chance to celebrate the joyous day with fellow Singaporeans! Happy 50th Birthday Singapore!
