Life of Corlissa: A day with mother nature

Posted this one day late I was having girls talk with my mom! Really love talking about prickly issues and her experiences. It never gets boring listening to her stories and advice!

Started the day with 2 phone calls at 6am from my friend! We actually met a bet to see if she could really wake me up to swim at 6am and she really did! But oh well, I answered her call and fell back asleep xD

Was supposed to meet at Macs at 9am but all of us were late and we only reached at 930am, then we went to search for directions on how to go treetop walk. To be honest, I am pretty impressed by y navigating skills yesterday! Normally, I would just follow my 2 older friends and tag along and today I actually lead the way! It was quite easy to find the place, as a lot of people were there since it was a public holiday. The trek was quite tiring as there ups and downs, just like life, oh well. After a long and tiring trek (we had to climb a long steep slope before reaching), we finally reached the entrance to the long awaited treetop bridge! But, the sky decided to play with us and it rained heavily! Luckily, we were prepared and brought our umbrella but still, the rain was so heavy that our shoes were all wet, making our socks all soggy in our shoes and it feels terribly yuckish! The monkeys there were entertainment for the long queue as they swang from branches to branches and scratched their body. Damn cute! Queued for a good 30mins I suppose, I think 60% of the people queueing were tourists! After what seemed like eternity, it was finally our turn! Took some pictures and walked past the bridge as there was people behind us :(

So, we decided to stop at the end of the bridge and let the crowd pass before taking a picture! It was pretty funny when we were all so worried about getting wet in the rain and all, running around and taking quick snaps as another crowd is already approaching us and that is when a near tragedy happened!! So star decided to hand me her phone to help her take a picture and SLIP! The phone fell onto the ground and bounced a little!! We were literally screaming omg, the phone was only 1cm away from the end of the platform. We really thank god that her phone didn't drop if not it will never be recovered man...

The way down was just continuously ups and downs of stairs and it was never ending. So fast forward to lunch, took a bus and went to a nearby eatery. Ordered a feast and ate like a bear xD It was damn filling and damn satisfying after a 10km trail. Yes, 10km.

Star had to go home after lunch as she has class at her home in the evening while the rest of us decided to watch Mission Impossible! Happy that there were still seats! Yay! The movie was awesome! But i couldn't help to think "Wow Tom Cruise is really old" throughout the movie. Oh, my friends and I were literally shivering throughout the movie as we were donned in our sports attire, shorts and wow were survived the cold in that!
